Day Three October 21
Athens
Rise early for a self-guided walking tour through the heart of Athens—one of our favorite routes, complete with all the details you'll need. Your walk begins at Syntagma Square, where you can witness the iconic Changing of the Guard. From there, step inside the 1st Modern Olympic Stadium, where you can stand atop the winner’s podium and imagine the energy of past Olympians.
Next, we’ll introduce you to our favorite foodie walk, where you’ll explore the vibrant Athens Central Market. For an added treat, we can arrange a charcuterie sampling at our go-to spot and recommend the perfect place to savor an authentic Greek coffee. (*If you prefer, we can arrange a semi-private foodie walk instead—this is included in your experience.)
In the afternoon, meet your private guide, who will lead you up the Acropolis with timed skip-the-line tickets. As you ascend the ancient grounds, you'll pause at the Theatre of Dionysus, believed by many archaeologists to be the birthplace of theatre. At the top, take in the Parthenon, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a breathtaking testament to ancient architecture. With sweeping views of Athens, this historic rock is an unforgettable sight.
After your guided tour, wander through the Ancient Agora, then meander into the lively, winding streets of Monastiraki, home to one of Athens’ oldest and most famous markets.
Tonight, we have handpicked dinner recommendations for you to enjoy a special meal together.

Day Six October 24
Island of Naxos
This morning, your private driver will take you back to Athens Airport for your flight to Naxos. But first, you’ll make a stop at the ruins of Ancient Corinth, a once-powerful city-state that rivaled Athens in its time. This is also the place that inspired St. Paul to write his famous Letters to the Corinthians. Explore the site and visit the on-site museum, which does a fantastic job of bringing Corinth’s rich history to life.*
From there, your driver will continue on to Athens Airport, where you’ll board your 40-minute flight to Naxos.
Naxos is steeped in mythology—it was here that Zeus was raised, and where Theseus abandoned Ariadne after slaying the Minotaur. Fortunately, she didn’t mourn for long before Dionysus arrived to comfort her.
Upon arrival, your private driver will greet you and take you to your boutique hotel.
After check-in, we recommend an orientation walk through Chora, the island’s charming main town. Wander through its white-washed streets and cobblestone alleys, getting pleasantly lost among its hidden corners. You can also take a short, scenic walk to the iconic Temple of Apollo, set dramatically by the harbor.
Later, enjoy a meal at one of our favorite tavernas on Naxos, where we can arrange reservations for an unforgettable island dining experience.

Day Seven October 25
Naxos
Today promises an adventurous and immersive exploration of Naxos’ scenic back roads. You have several options for experiencing the island’s interior—choose to explore by e-bike (rental cost on you), or rental car (cost on you), for those who do not want to cycle. Either way, we’ve planned a spectacular route through rolling hills and stunning landscapes. (Be prepared—there are some hills!)
Your journey begins in the charming village of Halkio, home to a family-run distillery producing the local specialty, Citron liqueur. Here, you can enjoy a tasting session and learn about the traditional production process. Halkio also boasts quaint galleries and cozy cafés, perfect for those who prefer to relax while others shop.
From there, your ride or drive will take you deep into Naxos’ heartland, where you'll pass marble quarries and villages built entirely from the island’s famed white marble.
For lunch, you can stop at a traditional taverna, where you’ll have the chance to enjoy authentic Naxian cuisine.
On your way back, visit a local family’s garden, where an ancient Kouros statue—a massive, unfinished sculpture of Apollo—still rests, abandoned centuries ago in the very marble from which it was carved.
Back in town by late afternoon, we suggest a sunset walk to the Temple of Apollo, a breathtaking spot to watch the sun dip into the Aegean Sea.
In the evening, we’ll arrange dinner reservations at one of Naxos’ best tavernas, where you can savor the island’s exceptional cuisine and wine.
