Day One-
Welcome to Spain and its capital, Madrid! A driver will be at the airport to pick you up and bring you to your central boutique hotel right in the action.
After you are checked in and have a short rest join, join your private guide for an afternoon walking tour of Madrid. You will see many of the sites that Madrid has to offer in your 2 + hour tour including the Puerta del Sol, Madrid’s lively square, and the Plaza Mayor- a historic cobbled-stoned square, and the Royal Palace (from the outside-we can get you tickets for viewing the interior if you wish). You will end our walk in the Royal Botanical gardens and you may linger there. You may also take in the Paseo del Prado currently on the UNESCO World Heritage List for its contribution to urban planning.
Later in the evening, enjoy a welcome drink at the hotel and then we will share our dinner recommendations with you for some authentic Madrid specialties for dinner.

Day Two-
After a leisurely breakfast you can take in some of the Madrid sites you have not seen yet, the stadium at Santiago Bernabéu-(home of soccer team Real Madrid) or the Reina Sofia Art Centre (know for its Guernica collection) or even take in the El Rastro Flea Markets which is open today.
Either way get ready for your late morning departure by train to Toledo (Holy!), once Spain’s capital and now considered a national monument.
Here we will visit the Toledo’s Cathedral dating from 1226 and filled with art treasures including works by El Greco. We are then onto the beautifully built town hall, and the Plaza de Zocodover. Later, you will have time to explore on your own before we catch our train back to Madrid. Dinner on your own with plenty of recommendations from us.

This morning you will have your tour of Madrid’s Prado museum-noted as one of the world's premier museums with works by Velazquez, de Goya & El Greco among others. You can catch a bite nearby before your scheduled high-speed train for Seville.
In the late afternoon we can give you an orientation walk of this historic city, that you can unroll yourself. And we can give you recommendations for dinner to some of our favorite places. But before that you might like celebratory drink to toast your wonderful trip. We have a great place to recommend where you can imbibe some wonderful Cava of Spain (Champagne).

The afternoon is yours- maybe a visit to the Flamenco Museum, take in a bullfight or go and see some of the best shopping streets around.
In the evening we will have tickets for you for a wonderful flamenco dancing demonstration.
We will also have a few great restaurants to recommend for your night out.

You can take one more walk around the cobblestone streets of Seville before being whisked away, by private driver, to the train station for your fast train to Granada.
You will arrive in Granada in the afternoon in time for check in and a self lead (with our direction) orientation walk around town. There are marvelous restaurants to be had, including some with views to the lighted fortress of Alhambra. We will have plenty of recommendations for you.

You leave for Barcelona today, staying in the region of Catalunya. A private driver will be on hand to take you into the historical part of this beautiful town by the ocean. After dropping your bags off at your hotel you can take a break at a nearby tapas place for lunch.
This afternoon you will meet your private guide that will take you in a walking tour of Barcelona including the Las Ramblas, the Gothic part of old Barcelona, and many of Gaudi's works.
Your tour will end near the port where you can continue onto Montjuic for the Joan Miro museum or Barceloneta to the beach.
There are many great tapas places to recommend for your dinner tonight.

Manolis HajifotiouA native of Greece, Manolis has been leading tours in Europe for 23 years. Besides traveling, his passion is playing his guitar and creating his own music. He also likes to keep up with the stone house he shares with his wife, Patricia, especially trimming their olive trees. He looks forward to showing you his favorite places and making sure you feel right at home.

When she is not on tour, she lives off the grid in a rock house, powered by the wind and sun. There she likes to spend her time digging in the garden.
