Day One
Welcome to Milan and the start of your Italy adventure!
Milan is known for its fashion houses, its design ethic, the spectacular Gothic Duomo di Milano Cathedral, not to mention the convent that houses Leonardo da Vinci’s The Last Supper, plus so much more.
You will be picked up at the airport and delivered to your hotel right in the heart of the historical district. After checking in and resting a bit, you can make your way to any of the above attractions that interest you.
We will have plenty of recommendations for your first Italian dinner in a fine establishment.

You are off this morning to Lake Como, known for its dramatic scenery, nestled in the foothills of the Alps.
The hotel will welcome you with a glass of local wine and great views from the deck. Afterwards, you can have an orientation walk of the beautiful town of Varenna and have a stop at Villa Monastero and its botanic gardens- home to thousands of rare species of plants.
There is plenty to do here, including, grabbing a seat at a lakeside cafe and soaking in the serene beauty in front of you.
We will have recommendations for our favorite places to eat. We can get reservations for you if you would like us to.

Day Three
A day on the lake is in order as you travel across to the town of Lenno and visit Villa Balbianello built in 1787, and take a tour of its breathtaking gardens.
You will continue your tour of the lake as you boat to the famous town of Bellagio, where you can have lunch in any one of the cafes the town has on offer. Afterwards, great shopping can be had, as you wander the streets of Bellagio.
Take your time returning to Varenna in the afternoon where you can have a drink on the patio of the hotel as the sun is setting before taking off for dinner.

Be ready in the morning as you make your way back to Milan and then off by fast train to the beautiful city of Venice! Your centrally located hotel will offer you a glass of Prosecco (Italian champagne) upon check in. Be sure to see the back garden of the hotel which offers a serene break from the busy streets of Venice.
After a short rest at your hotel, you can head out for a leisurely stroll along romantic canals and over quaint bridges for an introduction to the area. You are located in one of the more quieter sections of Venice, filled with trattorias with outdoor seating. We have several recommendations to send your way.
Late at night, we can suggest a private boat to take you up and down the canal for one of the most stunning views of Venice to be had.

Day Five
You will meet your private guide right outside of the Basilica di San Marco, in the heart of the main square of Venice. You will not only tour this magnificent church, but also climb up to the balcony to see the bronze horses up close, (said to be from the Hippodrome in Constantinople) and be treated to a stunning view of Venice.
Your tour will continue on to the backstreets of Venice to such places as the Rialto Bridge, where you can catch a great view of "main street"- the canal, with majestic buildings rising from the water. A stop at the famous Rialto fish and produce market is in order as you make your way through the San Marco neighborhood.
You tour will end and your private guide can recommend a few insider places for lunch.
After lunch you will be free to explore on your own, sit at a sidewalk cafe and people watch, or go for a gondola ride.
Also we will help you get to Murano or Burano islands for blown glass or lace shopping.

Venice, early in the morning, is a wonderful place to explore. Take your time and have another walk on the canals before or after breakfast, your choice. Be ready mid morning as you say goodbye to Venice. You'll board your fast train that will take you to the heart of Florence.
Once in Florence, a private driver will whisk you to your central hotel. After checking in there is nothing better than hitting the streets as everything is so close in the historical centre of this marvelous city.
You'll pass by the Duomo and the Campiello and take your time visiting the piazzas and the outdoor David. There will be time for shopping at some of the best outdoor markets in Italy.
We can recommend a special trattoria known to the locals.

We will have skip-the-line tickets for you this morning for your visit of the Galleria dell’Accademia, were you will see renowned works of art, such as Michelangelo’s David.
Next, you will make your way to one of the most impressive monuments in all of Florence, the Duomo. Here you can take your time to visit the sanctuary or climb to the top of the tower, for some of the best views of the city. If you want we will get you custom tickets to climb the inside of Brunelleschi Dome, a master work of engineering even today.
After a relaxing lunch you can continue on to the main part of the city where you will walk by the Uffizi gallery, cross the Pont de Vecchio, and end up at the Palazzo Pitti (former residence of the Medici family) on the other side of the river. The rest of the afternoon will be yours to further explore the beautiful city. We will be on hand for recommendations for the rest of your day and evening in Florence.

You’ll leave the city of Florence today for rural Tuscany. Here we take the back roads through the Chianti region. We will take our time wandering through the town of Greve where you can sample wine, olives and olive oils. We’ll pick out some great cafes for lunch on your own.
You will glide into the heart of Tuscany where you’ll stay in a converted farm estate. Our hosts will be on hand to take you around and visit their winemaking productions. You'll follow up with a wine tasting and then join them for dinner at their estate.

You will learn directly from the owners of the farm how to roll pasta the traditional Tuscan way. Also they will share with us their family recipe for amazing Tiramisu. You will get to eat everything you made later at dinner, along with some more of their own chianti wine.
