Day One
We'll meet in Rome where our tour starts. By fast train we will make our way Sorrento and the Amalfi coast. Our hotel enjoys sweeping views of the town and the bay of Naples with Mt.Vesuvius in the distance. Once we check in, we will have a short walk to town for our tour of this beautiful city. Join us in the afternoon as we sit on the veranda of our hotel and have a Prosecco toast to honor the start of our tour-as we take in the setting sun. Later we will enjoy dinner together at a nearby spot that specializes in local delicacies. Day Two
We are up early for our tour of Pompeii, a UNESCO World Heritge Site. It was here in 79 A.D. that Mount Vesuvius erupted spewing ash and pumice and covering the entire town. We will take our time to explore this amazing site with our guide. In the afternoon we will be back in town for shopping or sitting in sidewalk cafes. Or you might like to return to the hotel for swimming at the beach near our hotel. Join us in the evening for a short walk to dinner together at one of our favorite restaurants. Day Three
We are off to the island of Capri. We will be swooped up a the port and taken to the very top where we can enjoy spectacular views of the entire island and the bay of Naples. We will continue our tour of the gardens, beautiful buildings and shops that have made this place still a stop for the jet-set. You might want to even pick up a pair of pants:). We are back in Sorrento in the late afternoon for you to enjoy more views from our hotel. In the evening we will be on hand for recommendations for dinner on your own. Day Four
We will enjoy our cooking class today. In the midst of a beautiful garden we will have a local chef show us fine Italian cooking, using local ingredients. We will learn several recipes and then sit and enjoy what we just made for lunch including some great local wines, in a sumptuous location. We will return to our hotel late in the day. Join us in the evening as we enjoy a wine tasting on the verandah of our hotel overlooking the bay of Sorrento. Afterwards you can enjoy dinner on your own at any number of places to choose from. Day Five
Today we'll make our way down the Amalfi coast. Our first stop is Positano with its houses clinging to the hills overlooking the beautiful blue gulf of Salerno. We will take our time looking over this amazing town. For those of you who want to join us we will take a walk on the Path of the Gods to experince the Amalfi coast and its breathtaking views. Next we are off to Praiano, a former fishing village with beautiful pastel houses lining the bluffs. Take your time to have lunch here and/or shop to your heart's content. We will end out day in Ravello a singular town high above the Tyrrhenian Sea. Join us for a dinner at a spot known to the locals. Day Six
We Spend the day touring the town of Ravello and all of its delights. The Duomo and the Cathedral will be ours to take our time visiting. Be ready as we stop by a producer of Limoncello. Famously made here using a local lemon called sfusato amalfitano (nearly double the size of regular lemons) we'll listen as a local expert tells us how it is made and afterwards we will be able to sample their production. The afternoon is yours to shop and have time on your own. We will have a couple of spots to recommend for dinner on your own. Day Seven
We are off to a small medieval town high in the hills above Ravello for a tour and sampling of one of the regions most renown wines, with labels of both DOC and DOCG (Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita). We will take our time sampling the wines and learning about this wine growing region. Please join us in the evening as we have a farewill dinner and toast with local vintages to our fanstastic trip together. Day Eight
