About The Olive Odysseys
Bio (short version)
The Olive Odysseys was founded by Manolis and Patricia Hajifotiou, a professional traveling duo who live on the island of Evia, Greece. Their off-the-grid stone house produces its own electricity from wind and solar energy. They have been offering tours all over southern Europe including Spain, Portugal, France, Croatia, Italy, and Greece for over 20 years.
Both love being hosts and showing off the hidden secrets of their favorite places. Even though they know all about the Acropolis, are fluent in Greek and can order dinner for 14 in many other languages, they say they are the fortunate ones, because of the interesting people attracted to their tours.

Patricia grew up in Ohio, U.S.A., and was bitten by the travel bug at an early age; in fact, she was just 2-weeks old when she took her first airplane ride. When she met Manolis, there was an instant connection and passion for adventure. Together, they formed The Olive Odysseys to share their excitement and knowledge with others.
When not leading tours, they enjoy spending time on their sunny island home tending to their olive trees, curing the fruits for eating. You might hear the sound of Manolis strumming his guitar or see him sketch abstract art with pen and ink; he also makes unique pieces of jewelry from olive seeds.
Patricia loves spending time outdoors, walking to the beach, having a swim, and running back. She also enjoys working in the garden. She’s run in four marathons starting in the original village of Marathon and ending in the Olympic stadium in downtown Athens. She, too, is musically inclined and enjoys playing the piano.

Because of their busy schedule, Manolis and Patricia rarely have weekends to themselves. As a rule, they take every Monday off, turning off their phones and heading to the nearest beach for some down time. In their satchel is a thermos of cold coffee and Manolis’ special homemade breakfast, which he’d be glad to tell you about... if you have a spare hour of time.
